Beth Judah’s Centennial Celebration, 1914-2014 was a special and pivotal moment for our community. We celebrated the visionary families who 100 years ago understood the need and the importance of creating a Jewish community; a center for Jewish life and learning. We celebrated our current members who in many ways, small and large supported Beth Judah and are now faced with the challenges of living in an era where people are turning away from Jewish institutional life.

The history of Beth Judah reflects a congregation that has faced many challenges and its existence has been in jeopardy numerous times over the last 100 years. But there has always been a positive thinking small group of committed and dedicated people who were willing to face the challenges, identify the solutions and move forward with hope to ensure the survival of Beth Judah and the Jewish community it served.

We celebrate the Beth Judah community now dedicated to preserving our connection with the Jewish past while breaking new ground for the Jewish future. We are building on the legacy of those visionary leaders and congregations for an even more meaningful next hundred years for Beth Judah.
